Lifesaver Technology Services — Privacy Policy (2025)

Last updated: October 2025

Lifesaver Technology Services (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your personal information and respecting your privacy.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and safeguard information in connection with our website (lifesavertech.ca) and the professional technology services we provide.

1. Who We Are
Lifesaver Technology Services provides technology consulting, IT support, automation, and software development for individuals and businesses throughout British Columbia and across Canada.
We operate both in-person (in-home & on-site) and remotely through secure, encrypted systems.

2. Information We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to deliver reliable, secure, and effective services.
This may include:

  • Contact details (name, phone number, email, mailing address)
  • Technical information (device type, network setup, diagnostics for troubleshooting)
  • Access credentials (temporary or limited logins you authorize for service)
  • Payment information (processed through secure, third-party providers)
  • Project data (files, specifications, or other materials you share with us)
  • Website analytics (IP address, browser type, and usage data for site improvement)

We do not collect unnecessary personal data and we never sell or rent information to third parties.

3. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:

  • Provide and improve our technology services
  • Communicate with you about projects, billing, and support
  • Maintain accurate business and tax records
  • Securely access your systems when authorized
  • Comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements
  • We will never use your personal data for marketing without your explicit consent.

4. Data Security
We implement strong administrative, physical, and technical safeguards, including:

  • Encrypted communication and password storage
  • Limited internal access to client systems
  • Secure file-handling and deletion after project completion
  • Regular system updates and malware protection
  • While we take every reasonable precaution, no system is entirely immune to intrusion.
  • We cannot guarantee absolute security but we continuously review and improve our security practices.

5. Remote Access and Credentials
When remote access or login credentials are required, they are used solely for the agreed service and are not retained after completion.
We strongly encourage clients to change all passwords once work is finished or when systems are transferred back to their control.

6. Data Retention
We retain project files and client records only as long as necessary to:

complete the requested service or provide ongoing support, or
meet legal, tax, or accounting obligations.
When data is no longer required, it is securely deleted or anonymized.

7. Sharing Information with Third Parties
We may share limited information with trusted service partners when required — for example, with hosting providers, payment processors, or software platforms such as Google Workspace, Vercel, Railway, or Supabase.
All third parties are required to protect your data under privacy laws and security standards equivalent to ours.

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.

We only share information with third parties necessary to perform our services or operate our business, and only to the extent required for that purpose.

8. Your Rights
Under PIPA (British Columbia) and PIPEDA (Canada), you have the right to:

  • Request a copy of personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Withdraw consent for data use (subject to legal limitations)
  • Request deletion of your personal information when applicable.

To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected].

9. Cookies & Analytics
Our website may use cookies and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to measure traffic and improve performance.
Cookies do not contain personal information and can be disabled through your browser settings.

10. AI & Automation Systems
Some of our services involve AI or automated tools.
Any data processed through these systems is used exclusively for your project and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

We do not use client data to train or improve any public AI models.

11. Data Transfer & Storage Location
Data may be processed or stored on secure cloud platforms located in Canada or in jurisdictions with comparable privacy protection.
All cloud or third-party providers we use must comply with Canadian data protection standards.

Our website and services are not directed toward children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect or store personal data from minors.
