Built for Businesses That Build.
Lifesaver is an AI-native software practice founded in Kelowna, BC — building intelligent systems for businesses across the Okanagan and Canada that need real development, not templates.
Our story
Lifesaver Technology Services was built on a straightforward observation: Canadian businesses — especially outside the major metros — have been systematically underserved by the technology industry. They get agency retainers that produce templates, SaaS tools that almost fit, and offshore builds they can't maintain. They rarely get a developer who understands their operation, builds to production standard, and stays accountable after launch.
Lifesaver exists to close that gap. Founded in Kelowna, BC, we design and ship AI agents, automation infrastructure, custom software platforms, and conversion-focused websites for businesses across Canada. Every engagement starts with a technical audit of what actually needs to be built — and ends with a system the client owns, operates, and scales on their own terms.
We're based in the Okanagan because the region is a proving ground. The operators here move fast, run lean, and have real operational problems worth solving. Building here keeps us grounded in what production systems actually need to do — not what they look good doing in a demo.

Lindsey D. Stead
Founder & Principal Developer
Lindsey D. Stead is the founder and principal developer of Lifesaver Technology Services. She holds degrees in Psychology, Health Sciences, and Computing Science — the last completed with Distinction from Thompson Rivers University — and brings an applied background in both clinical environments and software engineering to every system she builds.
That intersection is deliberate. Understanding how people behave inside systems, not just how systems function technically, informs her approach to architecture, workflow design, and adoption.
Lindsey is an active contributor to an IEEE Standards Working Group developing international standards for the safe deployment of conversational AI in consumer-facing applications — one of a small number of practitioners doing that work while simultaneously building and shipping production systems.
She is based in Kelowna, BC, where Lifesaver serves businesses across the Okanagan and Canada.
Lindsey actively contributes to community work by openly contributing to research, advocacy, and of course other software projects.

What We Believe
Build What Matters
We don’t sell cookie-cutter solutions. Every system we build is designed around how your business actually works — not how a template thinks it should.
Radical Honesty
We’ll tell you when you don’t need custom software. We’ll tell you when a $500 solution beats a $50,000 one. We make money when our clients succeed, not when they overspend.
Okanagan Roots, National Reach
We’re based in Kelowna because the Okanagan deserves serious technology partners close to home. We serve clients across Canada, but our roots and accountability start here.
Community-First Development
We donate one full technology build to an Okanagan nonprofit every year. Help Kelowna and a local food bank check-in system are live today because of this commitment.
Why Lifesaver
Most software engagements fail the same way: the build doesn't match the actual workflow, the handoff is unclear, and the vendor disappears at go-live. We've structured everything to prevent that.
- Discovery before delivery— Every engagement starts with a technical audit of your current systems, workflows, and highest-leverage bottlenecks before a line of code is written.
- You own what we build— Source code, data, documentation. No lock-in, no dependency on us to keep the lights on.
- We stay after launch— Support, iteration, and operational guidance are built into how we work, not sold separately.
- We'll tell you when you don't need us— If a $500 tool solves the problem, we'll say so. We build long-term relationships, not one-time invoices.
